These terms cover buying and using the SPEAK collar and the SPEAK AI voice subscription ("SPEAK", "we", "us"). We've kept them short and in plain language. By placing an order or using the collar, you agree to them. Questions? Email [email protected].
SPEAK is an entertainment product. The collar listens to what people say near your dog and an AI replies out loud in the voice and personality you chose. It does not translate your dog's thoughts, barks, or feelings, and it is not a medical, behavioral, training, tracking, or safety device. AI replies can be wrong, silly, or unexpected; please don't rely on them for decisions about your dog's health or safety.
The collar sold today is SPEAK v1, our Founder's Edition: our first fully working version. It gets free over-the-air software updates, and features may change as we improve it. Supervise your dog while it wears the collar, remove it if it causes discomfort, and don't leave it on while charging.
If SPEAK doesn't make you smile, email [email protected] within 30 days of delivery. We'll send return instructions, and once the collar is back we'll refund the collar price to your original payment method and cancel your subscription.
For 90 days from delivery, if the collar stops working because of a defect in materials or workmanship, we'll repair or replace it at no charge. The warranty doesn't cover chewing, water damage, drops, loss, or normal wear. This warranty is in addition to any rights you have under the law.
When the next-generation SPEAK ships, we'll email Founder's Edition buyers a prepaid return label. Mail your v1 collar back and we'll ship SPEAK v2 free: one upgrade per collar, for the original purchaser, while your subscription is active. We haven't set a release date and won't promise one; you'll hear from us when it's ready.
The collar can hear anyone speaking near it. Let the people in your home know SPEAK is listening, and take it off when that's not okay. How we collect, keep, and delete data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Please don't use SPEAK to record people without their knowledge, harass anyone, or try to break, copy, or overload our service. We may suspend service for misuse after letting you know why.
To the extent the law allows, SPEAK is provided "as is", and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that can't be waived under consumer protection law.
If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date above, and email customers about material changes. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, USA.
